Tips to take care of teeth

Brush your teeth 2 times a day with fluoride (“FLOOR-ide”) toothpaste.

Floss between your teeth every day.

Visit a dentist regularly for a checkup and cleaning.

Cut down on sugary foods and drinks.

Don’t smoke or chew tobacco.

Don’t overbrush: If you brush more than twice a day, for longer than four minutes total, you could wear down the enamel layer that protects your teeth.

Make sure you floss every day: Want to avoid minimal scraping at your next checkup? Flossing loosens the particles that brushing misses. It also removes plaque, and in so doing prevents the buildup of tartar. While it’s easy to brush plaque away, you need a dentist to remove tartar.

Stay away from soda

Salt water rinse Salt is an effective antiseptic and it can also help to reduce inflammation. To alleviate pain symptoms from sensitive teeth, gargle with a salt water rinse twice daily. To use a salt water rinse:

Add ½ to ¾ tsp of salt to a glass of lukewarm water and mix well.Swish the solution in your mouth for up to 30 seconds.Spit out the solution.
